Practice love. Fight Terrorism, in real life!

I really don’t understand how changing a Facebook DP or lighting a monument with colors is going to stop terrorism. You cannot go and save the dead people, because they are already dead and they are not coming back. Unfortunately time travel hasn’t been invented yet. If you feel for them, pray for them. That’s fine but don’t do it on Facebook/Twitter. Do you really want to stop terrorism? Start from your home.

Whenever you feel angry and feel like shouting at your dad/mom for not able to buy what you asked, stop and think twice. Terrorism starts right there, with that anger!

Whenever someone says, not to be friends with someone just because he is from a different caste look right at his/her face and say “I will”. You have just stopped terrorism.

Tired of intimidating bullies at school/college? Do not run away. Stand up and face them. Let them know you will not give up without a fight. You have stood up to terrorism.

Whenever you see a guy misbehaving with a girl, have the guts to stop him. It doesn’t matter whether you win the fight. You tried and that will send a strong message to the offender.

Like a movie star? Watch his movie in theater, enjoy and go home. Have the maturity to understand that it’s just a movie. Grow up and stop silly fights in the name of your star.

Want to celebrate your leader’s birthday? Instead of celebrating it in the roads and disturbing public, go to an old age/orphanage home, help them and make them feel they are not alone. You have just honored your leader.

Irritated about the floods in your area and feel helpless? Instead of taking a picture, gather your friends, go out there and clean your surroundings by yourself, as much as you can. Help will find you.

Feel bad about your government? Make sure you vote for the right candidate in your constituency or even better contest in an election. Be the change you want to be.

Terrorism is not just mass killing of people with guns and bombs. We come across numerous little acts of terrorism like these in our daily life and ignoring them is the first door we open to terrorism. Let's stop doing that!

Let's practice love and fight Terrorism, in real life!

  4. Awesome write up da..!!! I have always been fascinated by your movie reviews and eagerly waited for them in my FB updates.
P.S. Especially when it comes to Kamal's movie reviews :P

Now my 2 cents, disagree only with the DP/monument part. I also share the same feelings when it comes to changing the DP background, most do it for the wrong reasons - to show that they are 'modern' and to show 'Very now, Very current' attitude. But hey as long as their are people who believe in them and do it for the right cause it does actually counts :P. On the bright side, these kind of ignorant buzz made in FB/Twitter gives the social issue at least a global realization it deserves.
